Who We Are
The group is founded on three tenets: Culture, Community and Camaraderie.
As our By-Laws state, we are like minded men but we are also not alike. The organization is not only apolitical and non-denominational; members are also not all Irish. We are bound by the mutual interest in giving back to the Community. Our fundraising is done by events as varied as our famed golf outing and Irish Festival weekend. All net profits of our fundraising events go to help the less fortunate in Hunterdon County.
We promote Irish Culture through our fundraising events and also via our monthly meetings, charitable and sweat equity endeavors and support of other worthy events in the county.
We have a strong relationship with Clinton and the Red Mill Museum and Village as the Mulligan Family bought and operated the Mulligan Quarry starting in 1848. After The Great Fire in 1891, Mulligan stone was used to rebuild the Town of Clinton. The business operated from 1848 until 1960.
As to Camaraderie, we have grown from an initial founding group of a dozen men to a current membership of over one hundred. And we always are seeking to expand as more members provide more volunteers; more giving opportunities come to light and most importantly; more fun to be had.
